SHUJI TERAYAMA is a multi-disciplinary artist; novelist, poet, photographer, theatre director, visual artist, including film director. His works was extensively shown in public during 1960-1984. In the 60s, he found the theatre group TENJOU SAJIKI, which the name was from the Japanese title of the film THE CHILDREN OF PARADISE (1945) by MARCEL CARNE, his admired French film director. The style of terayama’s theatre works is avant-garde. He oftens mix traditional Japanese culture with unconventional stage design, costume design. Left the building..

So, I've moved back to Ireland now. It calls
into question the whole idea of reporting
from SE Asia on this blog, so I will probably
be starting a new page which can be accessed
from here when set up. You can still expect interesting
fixes of art and design stuff, but with a european
slant instead! Shane..
